  1. JeeSports CTF Nations Cup Round 2
  2.
  3. Here we go again! You did miss some of the Round 2 matches? No Problem here is a little resume.
  4.
  5.  The United Kingdom vs.  Finland
  6.
  7. The United Kingdom used a wildcard therefor the match will take place in a catch-up week in round 6.
  8. After Finlands incredibly liquid play against Germany the team around Gerppa and Wit will try to take down the
  9.  Brits. Team Uk showed amazing teamplay against Sweden and was already able to win over Germany in round 3. The United Kingdoms line-up doesnt have to hide either considering their top level players such as Betija and former Fnatic member deus.

  10.
  11.
  12.  The Netherlands vs.  Belgium
  13.
  14. Lineups
  15.
  16. Belgium: redemptor, vertex, dem0n, impulse
  17. The Netherlands: eXodus, Blad3, draven, Sc00t
  18.
  19. The first map to be played was Belgiums pick Japanese Castles.
  20. Belgiums play was highly aggressive, they based their play on constant attack waves in 20 second terms.
  21. The dutch tactics seemed more sorted, counting on coordinated attacks.
  22. Due to Belgiums constant attacks in order to keep the enemy def low, there was a 30 second delay between the  Powerups which the Belgians could fix after 10 minutes. Their sloppy play on the Powerups in the first 6 minutes didnt cause any damage though since their frequent attacks worked out well. The Dutch had some problems breaking Dem0ns and redemptors defensive play, while they were busy returning their own flags. But after 7 minutes Draven managed to get a double Powerup (Quad + Regen) and made the first cap for The Netherlands .1-0 NL. Only 2 minutes later Vertex stole the flag and ninjad the flag to enemy garden rocketjumping from the connector over mid to his base. 1-1. After Dravens impressive double PU cap, he seemed to get greedy. Draven had  alot of flagtouches but he always tryed to make the caps all alone rambo style. His unreasonable solo shows had no chance against the whole Belgium team trying to catch him. If Draven would have waited for some team support the map score could have taken another direction. Anyway after 14 minutes Vertex again took himself a lot of time to outmaneuver the Dutch. Vertexs' ninja style paid off as he hid himself at enemy garden at the 50 health bubble, waiting for his full team to support him.2-1 BEL. After that cap The Netherlands couldnt get back to their stable play fast enough and impulse made an instant connective cap.3-1 and the win for Belgium.
  23. The Dutch pick Ironworks turned out tremendously intense.
  24. After only 2 minutes there was a crosstouch but the Belgians had full control over mid and thats why the dutch
  25. carrier had no chance getting across mid. Vertex putting a 1-0 on the scoreboard. At the 6 minute mark redemptor, the belgian home-red player, stole the flag and thanks to the full mid control and support by his team, there was the 2-0 in favor of Belgium. Only 1 minute later Draven could take advantage of his home-red stack including medkit. The Belgian def was distracted defending against the PU when Draven sneaked to the flag making a flawless fastcap 2-1. It looked like The Netherlands had found a weakspot on Belgiums def since Dravens team used the same move again 1 minute later. Draven got fragged on his way out though but Sc00t was there to finish the run. 2-2. Again only 2 minutes later Draven once more could count on his team distracting Dem0n and redemptor, and he carried the flag home easily. 3-2 NL. But team Belgium reacted wisely to this weakness and focused on enemy-red attacks, succeeding in detering Draven from attacking. With 11 minutes on the clock something weird happened. impulse rushed in the dutch base to take a hard fight for the flag, but there was none. When impulse grabbed the flag the dutch base was completely empty. The dutch team seemed to have disappeared mysteriously when impulse took a walk (in the park)  across mid and put a 3-3 on the scoreboard. With a tied score the pressure went through the roof and both teams
  26. found a balance. 2 minutes before overtime Draven once more was able to convert his red-armour stack into a cap and this should be the win for The Netherlands.
  27. The tie breaking map was Belgiums pick Troubled Waters.
  28. At the 3 minute mark Vertex could frag the flag def. Vertex grabbed the flag and made the torch jump to the right
  29. balcony. When he was crossing mid the Belgians had full control over mid and it should turn out as a rather easy cap. 1-0 BEL. One minute later Draven managed to swim to enemy base with red and medkit unspotted. His stack advantage helped him across and eventually ended up in a conversion cap 1-1. When Vertex , impulse and redemptor started a well organised attack, vertex dropped the flag from its podium, impulse picked it up to carry the flag to the front jumppad enemy side, where he eventually got railed. But dem0n , belgiums flagdef, rushed to the enemy side to pick up the flag once more while redemptor still was supporting in mid. This cap should show the true strenght of their teamplay. 2-1 and the win for Belgium.

  1.  France vs.  Norway
  2. Lineups
  3. Norway: hizapp, erk, Pettern, DCR
  4. France: winz, l1nkin, crv, the_k1ng
  5.
  6. The first map Spider Crossings ended after 12 minutes 8-0 in favor of France. Norway showed solid teamplay and good individual decision-making. The Norwegians just had no chance against Frances top level players. The french managed to get almost all double Pus and kept their clever and aimheavy play to make one cap after another.
  7.  Norways pick Troubled Waters couldnt have been chosen worse. The french with superior aim had an easy time controlling mid. Norway managed to force some crosscaps though, which all ended up in caps for France.8-0 after 15 minutes in favor of France.

  1.  Czech Republic vs.  Denmark
  2. Lineups
  3. Czech Republic: Legie, Ewil, krysa, Dloobiq
  4. Denmark: tg, NiGHTOPS, PsY_, ZLC, RHAZEI
  5.
  6. The Czechs pick Japanese Castles was the first map of this game. The Danish showed good team work and very stable and sorted play, naming Psy_s flag defence and ZLCs strong attacks. The first map was finished 8-2 with 18 minutes of play time. One might not call the Czech team weak though. krysa showed smart plays and ewil was hitting great shots.  Considering it was the Czechs first game in this cup and it was krysas 36th game of ctf in quake live they just need more practice. One could see their is great potential but they gave away too  many caps by misscommunication or false decisions.
  7. Denmarks pick was Ironworks. The Danish decided to make a player switch. PsY_ was exchanged for tg which should pay off in the game. With the Czech lineup inexperienced playing together, C7 turned out to be the right pick. After 17 minutes GGs were called 8-0 for Denmark. Team Czech Republic made a crucial misstake and underestimated the importance of controlling the enemy red. This stack advantage for Denmark was one of the factors to decide the game for them. Also Denmark played Ironworks very mechanical and strict. No risks were taken, they just continued a steady 2-off-1-support play to force the Czechs on their knees. The JeeSports Admin team is looking forward to Czech Republics next matches, when they hopefully use their potential and show off improved teamplay.

  1.  Germany vs.  Poland
  2. Lineups
  3. Germany: Fragmaster, xtro, abso, ph
  4. Poland: Pyton, _vod, wolf, springsteen, wolf, PAW
  5.
  6. Polands pick Ironworks was the first map. With 5 minutes on the clock xtro stole the flag and thanks to Fragmasters distraction and absos mid control it would end up 1-0 for the Germans. After a short crosstouch xtro took the same  route (crossing low over shotgun) and Fragmaster was able to frag wolf, carrying the german flag.2-0 GER. After 14 minutes abso left his mid position to keep Springsteen (the flag def) busy while xtro once more stole the flag. Xtro down to 8 hp got fragged at the homebase shotgun though. Luckily ph (flagdef) survived the polish attempt to save the situation and ph down to 2 hp finished xtros run.3-0 GER. After 16 minutes Fragmaster used his regen stack to grab the flag and rocketjumped himself through the map for the final 4-0. Poland showed great play though but the Germans had superior aim and  not at least more experience.
  7. Germanys pick was Japanese Castles. Poland decided to change wolf for PAW. After only 30 seconds xtro already brought home the first flag. Pyton was able to stop him in front of the box but ph was already there to back him up 1-0 after 35 seconds . At the 6 minute mark the Polish finally took a flag home but so were the Germans. Abso with the polish flag used their quad wisely to defend their flag in box. Springsteen used his regen the same way. With 9 minutes remaining the Germans finally fragged the polish carrier. 2-0 GER. Another 2 minutes later Fragmaster picked up the flag and even stole the polish quad with his whole team securing every step he made. A very clean 3-0 for Germany. With 6 minutes remaining the Polish forced another crosscap but again team Germanys superior aim and insidious attacks lead to a 4-0. A well coordinated flagrun by Fragmaster and abso even enlarged the German lead. 5-0.At the 18 minute mark Pyton finally succeeded with his clever attacks and put a 5-1 on the score. After a fast counter cap the map ended 6-1 in favor of Germany.

  1.  Sweden vs  Russia
  2. Lineups
  3. Sweden: dibbe, Crindy, ph0neX, hazard
  4. Russia: h8m3, hypnoi, kkkkarl, optizjunahuy
  5. The last game of the JeeSports CTF Nations Cup started with Swedens pick Spider Crossings.
  6. After 10 minutes of Pu and mid domination by the Sweds hypnoi stole the flag and outsmarted the Sweds hiding at the grenadelauncher. When kkkkarl finally arrived to back him up, hypnoi rocketjumped over mid
  7. and made the first cap.1-0 RUS. 2 minutes later ph0nex could use his 100 100 stack in addition to haste and make a fast run to his base. 1-1. After some intense tdm in mid Sweden finally could take over control again and dibbe, as he grabbed the flag, had an easy way out. 2-1 with 5 minutes remaining. Crindy, backed up by dibbe, had another easy cap with 18 minutes and 30 seconds on the clock.3-1 SWE. In the final minute of the game dibbe had another touch and made a cap without any resistence by the Russians.Crindy finally finished the map with another easy run 5-1 in favor of Sweden. One could see the Russians lost their drive after giving up the lead and their play broke to pieces quite fast.
  8. Russias pick Japanese Castles showed similar results. Sweden dominating the game with proper aim and fast caps while Russia having troubles to keep their structures active. It seemed the Russians lost their confidence after giving away 3 caps. Team Russia proofed that they know how to act as a team and how to take advantage out of tricky situations but  their problem was Swedens aim and maybe staying motivated after the Swedish lead widend.7-3 and the victory for Sweden
