World Cyber Games officially confirmed that Dota 2, FIFA 12, Cross Fire, World of Tanks, and Starcraft 2 will be part of their national tournament on August 16 at gamescom in Cologne, Germany. Both Dota 2 and Starcraft 2 will have 4 teams/players and Starcraft 2 competing. The winning team will receive all-expenses paid tickets to both the Samsung European Encounter held August 17-19 and the WCG Grand Finals in China, date yet to be determined.Samsung's tournament will feature Dota 2, Starcraft 2,and FIFA, while the Grand Finals have confirmed Dota 2 and Starcraft 2.
The Samsung European Encounter (SEE) offers a total of 20,000 Euros in cash (10,000) and hardware (10,000). There will be a total of 8 teams competing with 7 invitees and one from the WCG German qualifier.
The absence of LoL and the inclusion of Dota 2 may mean that the WCG Grand Finals in China will not be featuring LoL like it did the last 2 years. It can be assumed that Dota 2 and Starcraft 2 will be the official games of WCG China since they were used in the qualifiers.
