Let's take a look back at our very own JeeDota2 Championship III that has come to an end not too long ago, where we saw HelloMoto being crowned as champions followed by the regulars in BAGUETTE and EVODOTA2. The championship consists of 16 of the top qualified teams from those that have ranked up within our JeeDota ranks by getting points in the weekly JeeDota2 5v5 Cups. Here's a list of the top 16 teams that made it all the way, after weeks of 5v5 cups:

Most of these teams are regulars in the 5v5 Cups and we've seen them in action quite a lot, especially the top 3. One of the more known teams in zNation barely missed this championship by placing 18th place due to not participating in enough games. The 16 teams were put into four groups to start off the championship's group stage with the two top teams from each group moving onto the playoff stage. The playoff rounds are more on the traditional format where the winners stay in the main bracket and can win it all and the teams that lose in the quarter finals can compete for 5th place and the teams that don't make it past the semi finals, get to compete for 3rd place.
Group 1
- Hello Moto (3-0)
- BAGUETTE ( 2-1)
- draka (1-2)
- meow-gaming (0-3)
Group 1 was well balanced with HelloMoto and BAGUETTE being the expected to come out on top, the only twist was that the favorites at the time in BAGUETTE lost to 5th ranked and eventual champions in HelloMoto by a score of 2-0. Teams draka and meow-gaming had a good run but were clearly outclassed in this group match up.
Group 2
- Nirvana (3-0)
- mWdota (2-1)
- BLAST (1-2)
- Batican Vananas (0-3)
The biggest surprise in this stage came from Group 2, where #15 ranked Nirvana went on to sweep the group, starting with a close 2-1 win against the 2nd ranked mWdota. Although Nirvana was ranked 15th, it should also be noted that their results were a perfect 5/5 prior to the championship, which made them one of the mystery teams that squeezed their way in the top 16. BLAST and Batican Vananas weren't as fortunate this time around.
Group 3
- EVODOTA2 (3-0)
- ULTRA (2-1)
- no life no skill (1-2)
- Super!! (0-3)
Group 3 is the only group where the rankings went almost exactly as expected according to the rankings points with the exception of the 10th ranked ULTRA beating out the 7th ranked no life no skill by a convincing 2-0 score. The JeeDota regulars in mWdota went with an easy 3-0 sweep to take the top.
Group 4
- AllNoobsMustDie (3-0)
- Oh Yeah (2-1)
- True Sight (1-2)
- CCK (0-3)
Oh Yeah was the pleasant surprise of this group, with their never say die attitude, they took out two out of three of the higher ranked teams in CCK and True Sight, within the group to sneak into 2nd place of the group. The 4th ranked AllNoobsMustDie went on as top of Group 4 to get into the playoffs.

The playoffs started with a bang as the regular rivals in HelloMoto and mWdota clashed in the first game to get the hype going. It was initially expected to be a close match up between the two but the rising HelloMoto won it convincingly in 2 games. Although mWdota's captain Slander did a great job carrying his team, the 5v5 Championships are a team effort and HelloMoto was the better team this time around. EVODOTA2 followed as they had no problem taking out the underdogs in Oh Yeah and sending them to the battle for 5th spot. The top ranked BAGUETTE were the ones to finally take out the Ukranians, Nirvana, by a score of 2-0 and ending their stunning run. AllNoobsMustDie finished the quarter finals with a win against ULTRA.
The first game in the semi finals of HelloMoto against EVODOTA2 was perhaps one of the most exciting games in the tournament. The games started off with much intensity as both teams heavily rushed and ganked one another for many kills in the earlier stages. After a very close and long fought first game, HelloMoto called the GG with EVODOTA2 having the upper hand with a score of 1-0. The second game was played a bit more patiently but ended with a bang as HelloMoto out-rushed and countered EVODOTA2 in the end. The third and last game between the two was a lot closer between the two with a close score for the most part. As the game went on, HelloMoto managed to slowly increase the gap in the score between the two and eventually won it all in the end and getting a spot in the finals. Our tournament favorites in BAGUETTE managed to beat AllNoobsMustDie in a convincing 2-0 fashion as they also made their way to the finals to meet up with HelloMoto.

The finals featured the #1 ranked BAGUETTE against the #5 in HelloMoto. The first game was played a bit slower in the earlier stages but with HelloMoto putting up another show and only got better as the game went on. They took the win after a defensive start along with smart counters. The second and last game was much shorter and HelloMoto completely dominated BAGUETTE as nothing seemed to go their way for the Frenchmen as things seemed a bit messy on their side and HelloMoto did well to take advantage of that and be crowned champions of JeeDota2 Season 3!
In the other brackets, EVODOTA2 beat AllNoobsMustDie to take 3rd place and Nirvana managed to keep their spectacular run going in the losers brackets as they ousted the 2nd ranked mWdota in the final game to take 5th place to finish up the tournament. Look forward to the next season of the JeeDota2 5v5 Championship!
